The following article reports on the recovery of a German WWII Tank from a lake in Estonia. The tank was actually a Soviet-built T34/76A tank that had been captured and used by the Germans near Johvi, Estonia. The article has some amazing photos of the recovered tank.

WWII Siege of Leningrad by Germany Ends
On this day in 1944, the siege of Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) by German Army Group North in World War II, was brought to an end by Soviet forces. The siege had lasted for 872 days. There were heavy losses on both sides during the siege.
