Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you on this – 23 March 1942 was the day that Japanese forces captured the islands – there was no resistance. I can’t find where I said they were captured in May – do remember where I said that? Thanks.

You have stated that the Andaman Islands were captured were captured here and in May 1942 – may I ask which in your research is the correct date?
